1000+ Giveaways at Every Home Game

Lakeland, Fla. (October 21, 2021) – The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, announce the Year of the Fan season-long promotion. For the first time in team history, the Lakeland Magic will be giving out at least 1,000 giveaways for all 24 home games at the RP Funding Center during the 2021-22 season. The Year of the Fan will kick off with an exclusive championship shirt for every fan in attendance at Opening Night on November 5 and continue with a replica championship banner the following night on November 6. Other giveaways will include replica championship rings, the organization’s first ever bobblehead figures, Lakeland Magic lunchboxes, exclusive hats and shirts, and more.

“After over a year of not being able to play in front of our fans, we wanted to pull out all the stops to make this a season like never before,” said Team President Hans Steinbrenner. “We can’t wait to celebrate our team’s first championship and welcome everyone back with exciting giveaways and festivities all season long.”

Following the early end of the 2019-20 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lakeland Magic won the 2020-21 NBA G League Championship in March to cap off a season without fans, played entirely at the Walt Disney World Resort. This November will mark the first time in nearly 19 months the Magic, and the rest of the NBA G League, will play in front of fans at full capacity. The season begins with back-to-back games on Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6 against the Texas Legends. Friday night will start with the Championship Banner Ceremony and every fan in attendance will get an exclusive championship shirt. The festivities will continue Saturday night for the Magic’s official Championship Celebration Night, featuring the players’ Ring Ceremony, special theme jerseys and a free replica championship banner for the first 1,000 fans in attendance.
