August 27, 2018 — The NBA G League released its 2018-19 schedule today and announced the Lakeland Magic will open their season on Saturday, November 2 at Sears Centre Arena in Chicago, Illinois against the Chicago Bulls affiliate, the Windy City Bulls.  Game time is 7:00 p.m. The Lakeland Magic open their season at home on Saturday, November 10 at the RP Funding Center against the Westchester Knicks, NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, with a 7:00 p.m. tip.

Each G League team will play a 50-game regular season: 24 home, 24 away, and 2 neutral site games at the annual G League Showcase.  The Lakeland Magic will be in the Eastern Conference’s Southeast Division.  Lakeland will play 40 games against Eastern Conference teams including twelve games against Southeast Division opponents, the Greensboro Swarm, Erie BayHawks, and Capital City Go-Go.

Lakeland will play a total of 15 home games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this season.  The 2018-19 Magic schedule also features six back-to-back contests (one home/home back-to-backs, three away/away back-to-back, and two home/away back-to-back.)

The Magic will play 10 games in November (five home, five away), 7 games in December (four home, three away), 11 games in January (five home, six away), 11 games in February (six home, five away), and 9 games in March (four home, five away.)

The longest homestand of the season will be from December 7 through December 15 and February 11 through February 22 spanning four games each.  Lakeland will face two season-long four-game road trips from January 28 through February 3 and March 8 through March 17.  Lakeland closes the regular season at the RP Funding Center on Saturday, March 23 vs. Raptors 905 at 7:00 p.m. All telecasts of Lakeland Magic basketball will be available on Facebook Live.  The 2018-19 schedule breakdown is included below.

Lakeland Magic season tickets, group tickets, and suites are on sale now. Highlights for the Magic’s second season at the RP Funding Center include a 14 million dollar renovation which will elevate the overall fan experience.
