LAKELAND, FL - The Share the Magic program was designed in partnership with the Lakeland Magic and Amway to reward local organizations with direct monetary donations and tickets to Lakeland Magic games. Throughout the 2021-22 season, Amway and the Lakeland Magic donated at least 200 tickets per game to non-profit organizations in our community. The four organizations that used the highest number of tickets throughout the season were rewarded with a portion of the $5,000 monetary donation.

Take a Kid Fishing, a local non-profit working to enhance the lives of underprivileged and fatherless kids through mentored-focused fishing excursions, redeemed the highest percentage of requested tickets throughout the season and received a $2,000 donation from the Share the Magic program. Idols Aside Ministries, Heartland for Children, and One More Child each received $1,500, $1,000, and $500 monetary donations respectively.

“Giving back to our local community is one of the Lakeland Magic’s top priorities,” said Lakeland Magic President, Hans Steinbrenner. “We are so happy to be able to partner with Amway and not only provide more of our local residents the opportunity to come see our games, but to continue to reward organizations doing great work here in Central Florida.”

Special check presentations were held at the Lakeland Magic offices at the RP Funding Center, and featured the local non-profit organizations, Lakeland Magic President Hans Steinbrenner, Lakeland Mayor Bill Mutz and Lakeland Magic mascot Swish.
