Lakeland Magic Announce 2017-2018 Season Schedule

Lakeland, Fla. (August 24, 2017) -- The NBA G League released its 2017-18 schedule today and announced the Lakeland Magic will open their season on Saturday, November 4 at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa against the Iowa Wolves.  Game time is 7:00 p.m. The Lakeland Magic open their season at home on Friday, November 10 at the RP Funding Center against the Canton Charge. Game time is 7:00 p.m.

Lakeland Magic season tickets, group tickets, and suites are on sale now. Highlights for the Magic’s inaugural season in the RP Funding Center include a new courtside configuration featuring 20 six-person suites and 255 courtside seats.  Group tickets are available for as low as $5 per game and season tickets start at $8.63 per game.  Single-game tickets for all regular season games will go on sale on Tuesday, October 10 at 10:00 a.m. For ticket information, visit lakelandmagic.com or call 863.825.3258.

Each G League team will play a 50-game regular season: 24 home, 24 away, and 2 neutral site games at the annual G League Showcase, which will be played in Mississauga, Ontario from January 10 through January 13.  The Lakeland Magic will be in the Eastern Conference’s Southeast Division.  Lakeland will play 40 games against Eastern Conference teams including four games each against Southeast Division opponents, the Greensboro Swarm, Erie BayHawks, and Delaware 87ers.

Lakeland will play a total of 16 home games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this season.  The 2017-18 Magic schedule also features six back-to-back contests (four home/home back-to-backs, one away/away back-to-back, and one away/home back-to-back.)

The Magic will play 10 games in November (five home, five away), 10 games in December (six home, four away), nine games in January (three home, six away), eight games in February (six home, two away), and 11 games in March (four home, seven away.)

The longest homestand of the season will be from December 2 through December 16 spanning six games.  Lakeland will face a season-long six-game road trip from March 7 through March 18.  The Magic also have a four-game homestand from February 10 through February 24 and a five-game road trip from December 21 through January 2.  Lakeland closes the regular season at the RP Funding Center on Saturday, March 24 vs. Delaware at 7:00 p.m.  The 2017-18 schedule breakdown is included here.
