Lakeland Acquires Returning Player Rights to Scott Suggs from Raptors 905

November 17 – The Lakeland Magic acquired Shevon Thompson and then dealt him to the Raptors 905 in exchange for the returning player rights of Scott Suggs who most recently spent time with the ICL Manresa of Spain’s Liga ACB.

Prior to the Liga ACB, Suggs moved around the G League playing for numerous teams and on February 11, 2016, was named the East All-Star team for the 2016 NBA D-League All-Star Game after averaging 16.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 34.6 minutes in 32 games.

Suggs played collegiate basketball for the University of Washington where he led the Huskies and was third on the Pac-10 Conference in three-point field goal percentage at 45% as a junior. As a senior he averaged 12.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
